Institut Curie – New perspectives

Promising new perspectives!!!

Scientists from the Institut Curie, Inserm and CNRS have just identified a new activity of a transcription factor characteristic of Ewing's sarcoma: it induces the expression of genes highly specific to the tumor. A discovery that could pave the way for immunotherapy in sarcoma, and more widely in pediatric tumors.

Discovering the SIREDO Center

More than 700 young patients, including 300 new patients, are followed each year at the Institut Curie, within SIREDO (in English: care, innovation, research in oncology for children, adolescents and young adults). This center, the 1st in France entirely dedicated to cancers in people under 25, has a single objective: to cure more children.
