Retrospective on the Open de Golf des Étoiles
On Tuesday, May 28, 2024, we were delighted to host another edition of the Open de Golf des Étoiles at Golf de Saint-Marc in Jouy-en-Josas. This exceptional event took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere, bringing together amateurs and professionals for a noble cause.
A friendly, supportive atmosphere
Far from the usual competitive spirit, the Open de Golf des Étoiles brought together teams of four golfers, one of whom was a professional, encouraging exchanges and the sharing of sound advice. From the welcome and breakfast at 7.45am, the atmosphere was both relaxed and festive, allowing participants to prepare calmly for the day.
A well-organized day
After a quick briefing at 8:30am, the teams set off for the 18 starting tees for a shot-gun start at 8:45am. The day continued in a spirit of camaraderie, with each team enjoying moments of play and interaction with the professionals present. At 2:00 pm, the prize-giving ceremony celebrated the best performances in a joyous atmosphere, followed by a convivial lunch at the club house.
A commitment to research
Like all Marie Notre Etoile events, this year's Open de Golf des Étoiles was dedicated to children's cancer research. Thanks to the participation of amateur and professional players, and the generosity of our partners, the funds raised will help support this essential cause.
Hugo Amsallem, who took part last year as a professional player, joined the organizing team this year with a strong desire to develop this event.
A collective success
Beyond the conviviality of the Open des Etoiles, the success of this event is also the result of an incredible collective and associative spirit, since it has enabled our committed amateurs, golfers with big hearts, sponsors and partners to raise over €23,000 for research into children's cancer.
Conclusion and thanks
The 2024 edition of the Open de Golf des Étoiles will be remembered as a celebration of conviviality, passion for golf and committed solidarity.
A huge thank you to all the amateurs who took part, for their enthusiasm and generosity.
