Metropolitans 92
Solidarity victory for Marie Notre Étoile
On Friday, April 3rd, the Palais des Sports Marcel Cerdan in Levallois-Perret was electrified far beyond the purely sporting stakes. In front of more than 1,000 spectators, the Metropolitans secured a heroic victory, driven by a powerful wave of solidarity in support of the association Marie Notre Étoile.
A legendary scenario on the court
Sport sometimes offers us beautiful metaphors for the fight against illness: never give up, even when the tide seems to turn. That is exactly what the players delivered on Friday evening.
Facing the Loon-Plage team, the Metropolitans were lifted by a passionate crowd and the energy of our volunteers present in the stands.
Led by their captain and point guard, Kevin Thalien, the true conductor of this comeback, the team elevated their game to ultimately win 83–69. A clear victory that proves unity and determination can turn any situation around. A huge thank you to Kevin for his commitment and his ability to lead his team to this symbolic success.
Over 1,000 thanks… but the fight goes on
While the celebration was beautiful both on the court and in the stands with more than 1,000 supporters gathered, the association’s mission does not stop at the final whistle.
Once again this year, all donations help advance research. Every euro matters to fund scientific work and offer hope for a cure.
We need you: the call for donations is open
Sport has shown us that anything is possible in 40 minutes of play. What if we turned that energy into a wave of digital generosity?
Because research cannot wait, and because the fight of Marie Notre Étoile requires constant resources, we are calling on your solidarity. If you were unable to donate during the match, or if you wish to extend Friday night’s victory with a meaningful gesture, you can donate online now.
Thank you to the volunteers for their bright presence, thank you to the spectators for their enthusiasm, and thank you to the Metropolitans for playing with heart. Together, let’s keep reaching for the stars for research.
